Hello, I’m Dan Hoogterp. The extended Hoogterp tribe, loosely speaking, has had this web site at hoogterp.com for over a decade. The site has had several iterations, but has been dormant for a few years.
The tribe, the best term we seem to have, was centered around Dorothy Hoogterp, who fostered an extended community of friends, family, friends’ families, and many acquaintances, who maintain friendships and associations to this day.
Although Dorothy passed away in 2007, the love and relationships, and even the reunions, continue on.
We’ve now replaced the placeholder site with wordpress, hoping members of the tribe will express their interest by registering and then posting from time to time. Once you register yourself, let me know if you want to be able to post. You can then post thoughts, pictures, etc. We’ll add categories, media areas, etc., if needed.

Hi! This is Benjamin, Frank’s son. Nice to see a word-press design. Seems like a good idea, as it is flexible and has lots of options. I had come upon this site again recently, and remember it tonight because I have recently written a book.. Wasn’t sure if this was a place to “advertise” as such, but more like announce to anyone in the “Hoogterp” vicinity that I had. Anyway, I can leaven a comment here for now, since posting isn’t available.
